  • It’s a picnic, but with alpacas! Yup, you heard right, an Alpaca Picnic.

    Your Paca Picnic comes completely styled with low "Boho"-style tables, blankets, comfy soft seating, specialty plates, glassware, flatware, napkins, a vintage market umbrella and a Bluetooth speaker.

    You’ll get to sit, drink, eat and be merry while surrounded by a pack of friendly alpacas. We’ll even leave you with a bucket of alpaca food. Some will come up as curious about you as you are about them. Some won’t even acknowledge your existence. But the one thing that is guaranteed is that ALL of them will put smiles on your face that you may never be able to wipe away.

    This experience is great for couples, families, friends, and corporate teambuilding…and birthday celebrations!

  • The Paca Picnic is hosted on a private farm in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, featuring gorgeous vast pastures and home to the most adorable alpacas you’ll ever meet! You will receive a reservation confirmation email within 48 hours of booking. This email will contain all of the fun day-of details to help you prepare, as well as helpful directions.

  • While we do not offer food and beverage options at this time, all guests are welcome to bring their own menu items to their Paca Picnic.

  • Alpacas don’t like inclement weather any more than we do. They’ll spend rainy (and otherwise inclement weather) days in the safety and comfort of their barn. In the event of rain, your picnic will be rescheduled for another date.

    The Paca Picnic is available year-round, including winter, as alpacas enjoy all of the seasons.

  • Each Paca Picnic experience is 2 hours. If you’d like to extend your day, we are happy to arrange that for an additional fee. Please keep in mind, we must know in advance if you would like to extend your picnic. We look forward to seeing you soon!

  • We’re so glad you asked! Yes. We’ve partnered with Visuals by Claude to offer a number of custom packages for your Alpaca Picnic experience. A professional photography package may be added using the booking page, if desired.

  • Your new alpaca friends can see all the love you show them using #thepacapicnic.

  • For groups of 10+ guests, we recommend booking your Paca Picnic a minimum of 2 months in advance. However, if you’re booking for a special event (i.e. bridal shower or wedding), we suggest reaching out to us as soon as possible to secure your desired date.

  • Absolutely! While we only have so many options available on our website, we are always happy to see how we can accommodate your date request(s).

  • We kindly ask all clients to arrive no more than 10 minutes early so that we can ensure your Paca Picnic is picture-perfect upon arrival.

  • The Paca Picnic comes with tables, throw pillows (or chairs), specialty plates, glassware, flatware, napkins, and other decor, as well as a vintage market umbrella and Bluetooth speaker.
